The New Zealand Young Farmer Regional Finals have kicked off for 2022, and our team are right there for all the action leading up to the Grand Final.
The first event, held in Gore on the 12th February, saw several of NZ’s most promising young farmers battle it out for a top spot and qualify for the Grand Final in July. The day was full of challenges testing the contestant’s abilities and knowledge of the food and fibre sector.
Our crew are once again partnering with the Young Farmer team to bring all the action to those who can’t be there on the day. This will be the third year we’ve worked on this amazing event, and we’re excited to be doing even more event coverage at all the regional final events this year as well as the grand final in July.
The day consisted of live streaming both Head to Head events, general filming of what was happening throughout the day and conducting interviews with contestants, capturing the Junior Young Farmer Face Off and AgriKids Race off and finishing with live streaming the evening show where the winner is announced. It’s a busy day for the single-person crew!
Congratulations to Alex Field, this years’ winner of the Otago Southland FMG Young Farmer of the Year. The remaining regional finals will be held all around NZ over the following 7 weeks:
- Lincoln, Saturday 19th February
- Fairlie, Saturday 26th February
- Te Awamutu, Saturday 5th March
- Feilding, Saturday 19th March
- Waipukurau, Saturday 26th March
